Going for the Bronze Gods

My boys on the US Curling Team are playing for Olympic Bronze this week in Torino, and I'm looking forward to their doing us proud. Let's revisit our query:

Who is the sexiest "skip," which is like, the guy who slides the stone first, I think:

USA's Pete Fenson of Bemidji, MN, L'etoil du Nord

Or Canada's Brad Gushue, our neighbor from the North, L'etoil du Nord du Nord

Encore! Thank You to the chicks at Squawk Radio for letting me share some time with their friends in the hen house. What an honor, and such a good time.

Michelle...I watched Curling for the very first time two years ago. I had no clue such a thing was even a sport. So...hm...was it invented by the Vikings, or what? Certainly a culture very familiar with ice and the need to find pasttimes related to it. :)

As for who is cutest...I think Fenson gets my vote. Love that confident smile. :)

I noticed your picture was up. Did you get my email, or figure it out on your own?

I'm off to write...well, maybe eat first. How do I do this? I've been at the computer for a few hours and breakfast is just sitting to my left, but I haven't touched it. I get sidetracked too easily. LOL

Hugs,
Lucy

Michelle, caught you over at the SR hen house and came to check out your blog. I'm so glad I'm not alone in my obsession with the men's curling team. I think Brad's a cutie, but I fear he might be a bit of a baby age-wise. I'm all about Pete. It must be the spikey hair or something...

I vote for Brad. But then again I'm Canadian and a Newfoundlander. We're very proud of our boys.

Okay, Bobbi: Gotcha. My eye was drawn to Brad first. He's got real confidence on the ice. Then I saw Pete and those "Bedroom Eyes" as someone called them earlier. Gotta love a guy from Bimidji. And any guy who can slide over the ice in his shoes and still look virile.

Lucy: Got the email and thanks. Did it this am instead of finishing my column which already had an extension. So, yeah, I dig you on the "where's the time go? thing.

Rach: I feel a little creepy about Brad being young, too. But all the hotties are way younger than me now.

Laura: I saw a pic online of Brad with Miss Newfoundland, I think. She seemed pretty happy to be sidled up next to him. How come I never got to pose with any curling hotties when I was Miss PA? Well, there was that one silly little incident with the U of Louisville football team...

Michelle, I noticed the same thing about the cute, young hotties. I would see a cutie, look up his profile on the nbc olympics site (okay, I'm a HUGE nerd!!) and he would have been born after 1982!! ACK!! All these cute babies, and I feel almost creepy lusting after them.

Hey, TM! That is so cool that everyone's so psyched. Brad kinda rules there, huh? Wasn't his dad a popular curler (is that the right term?), too?

Rach: Creepy's the word I use, too! And www.NBColympics.com is actually an Internet Broadcasting site. They're the co that carries RBtheB. I don't think the only nerd who likes to look at the pretty boys of winter...count me in!

Hi Michelle, Caught your blog on SR and really enjoyed it. Going to be adding yours to my regular list.

I'm afraid I haven't watched much of the Olympics at all. Would like to catch some of the skating tonight but have to watch my CSI too. If I can stay awake. Home sick and been napping off and on all day.

Have a great evening!
Deb

Hi, Deb: I'm so glad you popped by today. Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Did you get to stay cozy all day?

Hope you'll stop back soon, and feel better soon, too.

Hi Michelle. Thanks for the good wishes. I have a sinus, ear and respirtory infection, so yes I stayed in where it was nice and cozy today.

I will definitely be back soon and often!

I think I have to go with Brad, even though Pete is from Minnesota, I'm only talking about who is cuter, right?
So Michelle, you rocked on squawk.
What fun. And I'm so glad you got your picture up. Was that even a sentence?
Deb, feel better.

Amy: Well, I guess that means you don't wanna go with me on my road trip to Bemidji to eat some pizza a Pete's pizza place there. BTW, I hear he's got a lovely wife, a very cute baby, and is a total family guy. Doesn't that ratchet up the sexy a couple notches right there? (that's definitely not a sentence).

Deb: Hope you got a good night's sleep and feel better this am.
